Cassano d'Adda Viaduct on the Muzza Canal - Milan

Assembly and launch of the viaduct on the Muzza canal in the Municipality of Cassano d’Adda within the new area of ​​the BreBeMi highway in the Municipality of Cassano d’Adda. The metal structure is in painted carbon steel and consists of 3 welded metal girders, with bolt-on diaphragms inserted into the various metal structures. The slabs were laid in reinforced concrete predalles.

The metal structures have the following dimensions:

• length of cad frame girder = about 45,195 mt
• cad structure width travate = about 4.80 mt

The on-site assembly was carried out as follows:

• assembly and welding of metal segments from the two shoulders of the viaduct
• launching of metal girders with two mobile cranes of suitable capacity for previously assembled metal girders; in one shoulder were used carelloni for the movement of the segments up to the hook of the mobile crane for lifting and relative positioning in work
• completion of the welds between the metal segments, completion of assembly of bolted connection diaphragms
