Supports with spherical cap C.M.M. SPHE.BE.

SPHE.BE. (SPHErical BEarings) is the range of spherical bearing supports by C.M.M.
The operation of this type of supports is based on the rotation by sliding between a curved surface of niched and lubricated PTFE (recessed in the intrados of a supporting plate) and the extrados of a spherical cap made so as to minimize the friction of contact (aluminium, steel with stainless steel or chrome-plated steel cover).
This rotation mechanism guarantees SPHE.BE. a rotation capacity much greater than that of conventional supports (pot or elastomeric).
The best performance makes this type of support particularly suitable for railway decks.
As for the other support families, the SPHE.BE. they are available in three versions: fixed, guided (unidirectional) or multidirectional.
The main features are:

The main features are:
- Vertical load up to 100000 kN at the Ultimate Limit State (SLU)
- Horizontal load up to 50000 kN (even in the absence of vertical load)
- Possibility of equipping the supports with negative vertical load capacity (up-lift), both in service conditions and in the Ultimate Limit State
- Possibility of being designed and produced in accordance with national railway regulations
- Great ability to move in every direction in the plane
- Rotation up to 5 ° (0.087 rad)
- High durability and reduced need for maintenance
- Temperature range: -40 ° C to + 70 ° C
- The supports can be designed and installed on any type of structures
